    ESTABLISHED

    Chairman, Mr Lim Ching Seng, started the business under his own name back in 1947.

    The business was renamed to Chop Chin Leong three years later, acts mainly as dealers in paints and building materials

    1959

    DIVERSIFICATION

    Started importation of chemicals, solvents and paint raw materials from overseas.
    In the same year expanded into the Malaysian market.

    1960s-1980s

    EXPANSION

    Numerous Investment was made as the market grows
    Chin Leong Construction was established for construction and waterproofing projects
    Joint Venture with

    • Hitachi Chemical

    to further expand in commodity, chemicals and retail market

    Established foot-hold in SEA market as premier chemical player
    Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, China/Taiwan, Indonesia
